Dr. Klaus Hubert Görg, born in 1940, is lawyer and senior partner of the corporate law firm GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten. He is deemed to be one of the most reputable experts in insolvency law in Germany. |
After his studies in Marburg, Munich and Cologne Dr. Klaus Hubert Görg received his PhD. Quickly he was responsible for major insolvency proceedings. For instance concerning the Pfalz-Kreditbank, the Bankhaus Goette, the PHB Weserhütte and the big estate remission Günther Kaussens in Germany and North America.
After the implementation of the insolvency act in 1999 Klaus-Hubert Görg became pioneer concerning the so called debtor in possession. The first paradigm was Philipp Holzmann. At Kirch-Gruppe, Dr. Görg was executive director. Later on Dr. Görg and his partners successfully established this concept at Babcock Borsig and AgfaPhoto for example.
Besides administrative functions, Dr. Görg operated as consulting lawyer in several prominent cases such as the Klöckner-Werke, the metal company and the insolvency proceeding at Heros-Group. After all, he operated as trustee within one of the most complex cases of Germany, Merckle-Group.
Today the partnership GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten comprehends approximately 150 lawyers at five locations. It is one of the largest independent corporate law firms.
Dr. Klaus Hubert Görg is married and has four adult children. |
