The Management Learning Programme (MLP) is a development programme for prospective managers in the Arcandor Group.

Anyone who has the potential for specialist and personal development is given the opportunity to prove their potential. The necessary “equipment” (specialist, methodological and social skills) is provided by this new development programme for prospective managers.

The participants come from very different parts of the company, such as Purchasing, Sales and from key corporate functions, and contribute a very wide range of experience. Relatively young newcomers from an academic background meet insiders who have already gained some professional and project experience. This provides the best possible conditions for learning from colleagues and building up multi-departmental networks.

MLP in three steps

These programmes lasting several months promote the development of specialists into generalists with a specialist focus. The MLP also offers diversity of methods and variety through workshops, seminars, assignments, attending outside lectures, private study units and the promotion of virtual project work. It is also concrete and practically-orientated through the creation of tangible contributions to results by means of Business Impact Projects.
